Obsolete DRAM Options

I am looking to get the DRAM options PNs 920107-04 and 920106-04 for use with PN 777119-32 yet am being told they are obsolete.  Is there any replacments for these options?

Hello, Whip!

Indeed, those boards (and most VXI products) were "end of life"-ed years ago. I will see if we still have any options available for you, and let you know once I have more information.

Hello, Whip!

After double-checking, we do not have any of these for purchase. However, any standard Laptop RAM card should be fine - providing it's the correct size.

On page 46 of the VXI-MXI-2 User Manual, it specifies the following for selecting the DRAM you will use:

"The VXI-MXI-2 can accommodate up to two 1.35 in. DRAM SIMMs.
Table 3-1 lists the SIMMS you can use. You can use 32-bit or 36-bit
SIMMS since DRAM parity is not required. Because the VXI-MXI-2
supports only one organization at a time, all SIMMs installed must be
of the same type. Use Bank 0 first when installing the SIMMs. This
allows you to install up to 64 MB. The VXI-MXI-2 supports DRAM
speeds of 80 ns or faster."

These should be available from a standard online electronics supplier,

Please let us know if you have any further questions on this, Whip!
