I have a PXIe-1078 chassis with an embedded controller and a PXI-8512 CAN card installed. When I look at MAX, the CAN card shows that
'Windows does not have a driver associated with your device'
I have the NI-XNET 18 and runtime, and NI-CAN installed and have tried the card in another slot in the chassis.
Is there another step I need to carry out to get the chassis to recognise my card?
Dave

Hey Dave,
Looks like un-installing NI-CAN could solve your issue. It's not needed, as NI-XNET is the replacement for NI-CAN. See Migrating NI-CAN Applications to NI-XNET for more detail.
Thank you for posting the screenshot, that helped a lot when checking if there are other devices in your PXIe that need the CAN driver (there are not). Also, the PXI (without "e") card is in a correct slot, it needs to be in either slot 4, 5, or 6 on your hybrid chassis.

Thanks for that info,
Following removing NI-CAN and then also uninstalling XNET as well, then reinstalling, my card is now recognised correctly.
Thanks again,
Dave
