NI PCI-4474 AnalogIn - self test failed in NI MAX STATUS CODE - 223044

Hello All,

          I am getting the following error in NI MAX --> Devices & Interfaces --> "The self test failed. Status Code: -223044. Internal Software Error occurred in DSA software. Please contact National Instruments Support" for NI-4474 PCI AnalogIn Card.

Is it an indication of Hardware Failure?  I want to understand about this issue..!

Can anyone explain about this?

Hi,

This is a general error, that may be caused by several number of issues. 

Did the card work before? If yes, what changes were made in your setup before you started getting the error? 

I can advise you some troubleshooting steps, you can try:

• Reboot the computer and the PCI controller
• Try placing the card in different slot, different chassis or computer
• If you have another 4474 card, try it in the same setup
• Delete the device in NI MAX and add it again
• Repair or reinstall NI MAX and DAQmx

Thank you so much for your reply.

I have removed the card and put it in the same slot again, it worked. So it had loose connection possibly.
