Hi, I am using NI 8262 RAID module. The problem i am facing is when i want to simulate a failure condition. 

 

I am doing this by removing one of the module from the array. when I do this the RAID controller starts to beep and indicate a failure. I understand that the RAID must be restarted as the discs are not hot swappable. On restarting the system the RAID is not detected by windows.

 

Is there something I am missing in my understanding of RAID. My RAID is configured as RAID-0.
