I have a data acquisition system with 2 PXI Chassis(PXI-1045) and PXI-4462 modules on both chassis. I need synchronized acquisition from modules on the two chassis(maximum 1 sec deviation). I am not using any Timing/Synchronization module.
The "Clock In" (on the back side of chassis) of 2nd chassis is connected to the "Clock Out" of the 1st chassis(to share clock).
I am creating 2 separate Daqmx tasks for modles on two chassis and starting the tasks parallely.
I am getting desired synchronization only when modules on both chassis are configured in same way. For example, when acquiring data from modules on slots 4,6, and 9 in 1st chassis, I should acquire from slots 4,6, 9 on second slots also. Otherwise the Start of Acquisition differs by more than 1 msec(it varies, 3msec, 8msec etc.)

Is there any way to route a common trigger signal to two chassis without Sync module?
What is the maximum possible synchronisation I can achieve without using Synchronisation module?
