MXI-4 Question

I recently changed from MXI-3 to MXI04 interface for my PXI systems. With MXI-3, as soon as I turn ON my PXI chassis, the Rx LED on the 8331 board turns ON. When I turn on my host PC Tx LED turn ON too. But with MXI-4, Rx or Tx LED will not turn ON unless I try a read or write from MAX. Is it normal? I thought they(Rx/Tx LEDs) have to be ON all the time as long as the power is up. Thanks in advance

lilocomotiv,

The behavior you seeing is expected.  The Rx and Tx should blink when there is activity and stay off by default for MXI-4.  Which would make sense why you only see these LEDs light up when you communicate through MAX to the PXI chassis.
