How do i get the slot number for the NI instruments on the PXI chasis

i already poste this question .,but i got the answer to try with the init_daq_boards.
but it did n't works out .
i am very clear that Slot number and device number are different .
I am vey clear abou the NIDAQ commands . The NIDAQ funtions use the device numbers.

I SPECIFICALLY NEED A WAY TO IDENTIFY THE SLOT NUMBER OF THE DEVICES ON THE pxi NOT THE DEVICE NUMBERS ,

I'm sorry about the confusion with device and slot numbers. To determine the slot numbers for your devices, you will need to load the pxisys.ini file onto your machine (in the C:\Windows or C:\Winnt folder depending on your operating system). After restarting, Measurement & Automation Explorer will then show the slot numbers for each of your PXI devices.

Each chassis has its own specific pxisys.ini file. I have attached them all in the zip file below. This information can also be found in our KnowledgeBase by searching for "slot number and pxi chassis." You can also follow this link:
