Hi,
Im developing a servo control system using 8106RT dual core controller. As the system is now, the Analog and TTL I/O is using almost all of the resources of the first core, and I have some shared memory and ethernet communication running on the second core. In the future I may want to add additional DAQ cards and increase the number of I/O channels, and I was looking at the 8110RT controller (quad core) as a possible way of doing this without having to decrease the sample rate of I/O I am doing now. I dont have much experience with multi core processors so Im looking for someone with experience in this area. Will the Quad core processor allow me to greatly incrase my I/O capability or is there some other system bottleneck?
