Dual Display Problem with PXI 8108 (driver or hardware issue)

What does this status light on the controller show?

Does the chassis power button light up and stay on? Is it green?

The good news is that your chassis lights are all correct and that the cord that works for you is listed in the manual:

This indicates your hardware is fine. Do you have a second controller or a duplicate of any of those cables? I am curious if they experience the same behavior.

I don't have a spare controller. and I have already tried another DVI splitter and another cable.

I have found another observation though.

If I right click, go to Graphic Options > Extended Desktop > Output to >

1. Monitor + Digital Display

2. Digital Display + Monitor

in case 1, the display is shown on my main monitor. (if I click Identify, it shows the big 1 on the screen)

in case 2, the display is also shown on my main monitor, however it's the extended display. (if I click identify, it shows the big 2 on the screen)

Any hint guys? I am really dying out here.

since all my monitors were hp 221v, I also hooked up a Dell monitor at the DVI end, but there is no change in the result. no output on the Dell monitor.

Does the VGA have the same issue? Are there more monitors we can test with?
