Hello,

I use DAQmx on Linux. I am now moving from SL6 to a newer distribution for my new computers. I struggle to get DAQmx to install.

If I try to install DAQmx straight, I get the following message:

Now, I understand that NI-KAL has to be installed first. So, I get it from the latest NI-VISA. NI-VISA 15 installs fine. But now, when I try to install DAQmx, I get this:

Is there any workaroung ?

Or is NI planning on updating the DAQmx installer, so that it is properly packaged with respect to the newer libraries ?

 What distribution Linux do you use ? SL7 or SL6 ?

If you use SL7, it's not supported.

Hi Julien,

Could you try to install DAQmx Base 14.0 (unless I am mistaken you try to install version 8.0.2 which does not support OPEN SUSE 12.3)

Indeed, DAQmx Base 14.0 installs fine. I don't know if my hardware will be supported with DAQmx Base though.

Is NI planning to update the DAQmx install package ?
