Each PXI instrument is attached to a receiver connector module via a Direct Access Kit (DAK) adaptor, providing direct connectivity between the PXI instruments and the

All instruments are easily installed or removed through the front of the receiver, without disturbing the system wiring, because all the traditional wiring has been removed from the system. DAK adapters utilise standard MAC Panel Series connector modules, providing a wide variety of contact types: with signal, power, coax, RF, pneumatic and POF/MOST available.

By eliminating the usual cables and wiring harnesses from the PXI connection, SCOUT offers enhanced performance and signal stability and significantly simplifies system design and build time, which in turn significantly reduces system build costs.

The connection between the PXI instrument and receiver module is accomplished using either printed circuit boards or flex circuits, providing optimum connectivity performance while reducing wiring cost. Where a wired solution is preferred, the DAK adapter provides for a short wire (100mm/4") alternative to traditional hinged mass interconnect receiver designs that typically require long cables.

Introducing the SCOUT XT. With the XT you have all the performance, cost and time saving benefits of SCOUT combined with the ability to easily incorporate connections from other instrument platforms, such as GPIB, LXI or VXI. The XT provides an additional eight horizontally mounted TITAN connector module positions to the standard SCOUT receiver as well as a convenient custom I/O section that can be configured to meet specific application I/O requirements. This makes the SCOUT XT the ideal interface for high I/O multi-platform ATE designs.
