Restarting the LabVIEW User Group

I'll be putting in effort to make sure that the LabVIEW user group gets off the ground again in 2019.  To help me better understand what is most valuable for the community I had a few questions:

Would folks prefer monthly or quarterly user group meetings?

Would folks prefer to continue to meet in a restaurant or a different venue?

What topics would be most valuable for those getting started with LabVIEW?

What topics would be most interesting to those who are experienced with LabVIEW?

Share your ideas and I'll make sure to work with NI to improve these meetings.

Best,

Zach Olson

Happy New Year Zach!

Monthly or quarterly meetings at Citrus Cafe works for me.  See you on February 28th!

Regards,

Dale

Monthly at the Citrus works for me just fine.
For those getting started I would say an emphasis on best practices and design patterns.
For experienced folks - advanced architectures and techniques.
I think a presentation from the cross-section of industries represented by the attendees would

be informative and helpful.

Maybe a portion of each meeting could be open to folks to present their current problem/challenge

and open it up for solutions/suggestions from among the attendants.

Just some thoughts.....

Regarding Feb 28th, I'm not aware of any planned user group meeting.  The suggesting of bi-monthly is noted.

Hello,

Meeting more often than quarterly.  Monthly or bi-monthly are both ok.

I appreciate when both beginner topics and advanced topics are included.

Thanks

I'll throw my vote in for bi-monthly. As far as ideas for presentations, I don't suppose there's someone from the growing electric vehicle industry in this area that wants to discuss how they're using LV?  Thanks Zach for starting this discussion!

I would prefer demonstrations of topics not usually covered in the books, such as Maker Integration, Internet Connectivity, etc. in addition to the practical applications in various disciplines.

Meeting frequency?  Monthly or Bi-Monthly.

Meeting location?  The Citrus Cafe is good.  I am also open to returning to the previous practice of donated space with pizza.

I will be very interested in a monthly, or even every two week, meeting in the evening.

Thanks

Alan
