Project Title: Automated CNC(Computer Numerical Control)

What challenge/problem are you trying to solve through your application:

          We are trying here to convert an existing CNC which work on defined object to

an automated one which can be able to work on a undefined object like granite,marble,log,etc,.

How does your application solves the above mentioned challenge/problem:

          We are over coming the challenge just by finding the edges of the object from its

image just by using the technique of edge detection and by using the tool of IMAQ machine

tools like caliper to find the distance between the two edges. Then, there by we can find the

size of the boudries in real time of the object we can take the control over Axial motors. 

Description of Project:

     The object is placed on the machinery bed. The camera which is mounted in front of the machine

will give the clear view of the object’s image to the system. Then by using the GCode technology

of coding the three axis (X, Y and Z) of the machine are controlled. This GCode technology ensures

greater efficiency and accuracy for better results. The three axis of the machine are generally predefined

but in this case, by the process of Gcoding it is being automated in order to perform work on a

undetermined/undefined object .This process of automation is done with the help of the labVIEW tools.

Then the Gcoded data is processed, interpreted and sent to the CNC/Machinery via the sbRIO external

interface kit. This will also provide a feature of surface leveling which helps the object to level it on the surface

bed.
