Solved!

LabVIEW models only support pharlap and windows targets. Are there any plans to bring this to Linux cRIO targets?

Thanks

Hey StephenB,

As far as I know, it is possible to deploy models to Linux RT cRIO targets, which is explained in more depth here:  http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/AB7C4E0338DB20E586257EB400720708

I can't speak to future developments and whether or not there are plans to bring that functionality to LabVIEW; however, there are many other modeling environments already encapsulate that functionality.

I believe that StephenB is talking about LabVIEW models (.lvmodels) specifically, which arent supported on Linux as they're based on .dlls as far as I know.

Stephen: Could you clarify if this is what you're referring to?

Hi Stephen,

I've checked with the appropriate team and there's no official planned support for .lvmodels on Linux targets as of yet. The nearest option at the moment is to create a Custom Device to plug in a LabVIEW VI.

Hey Stephen,

LVModel support is on the roadmap for the upcoming release, it was one of the features that we prioritized to get done ASAP and it should be available soon.

Best Regards,

Joel
