Sorting DAQ channels by channel number

Is there any way to sort the DAQ channels by channel number? Sorting by name doesn't help confirm that channel assignments are correct without clicking on every channel name and looking at the channel number field. I have a lot of channels and it would be MUCH faster to compare my spec against the system explorer DAQ tree if the channels were in channel number order.

Better yet, give us a pop up and option to sort by any channel specification or channel value.

I spent a few minutes playing around with this in VeriStand, but I haven't found built-in functionality for it (at least not yet).  It seems to behave exactly as you're saying, with the sorting done by channel name once you save, exit, and reopen the system definition.  

As a workaround, what do you think about leaving the channel number as the first part of your channel name?  That way the sorting would maintain the order based on channel number, and you could still benefit from a more human-readable name that follows the number.
