Overview

The NI-Switch Relay add-on allows users to use NI Switch relay devices inside NI VeriStand. These are commonly used to switch power and ground, but could be used to switch anything through a relay.

Instructions for Use

To use the NI-Switch relay add-on:

  1. Install NI-Switch to your target through MAX -> Remote Systems -> Your System Name -> Software (right click add/remove software)
  2. Add  the custom device to your system definition.
  3. Select your switch topology

The nature of some add-ons requires additional software or hardware to function.

Software

This device was created for use with NI VeriStand.  To use this custom device you must have the following software installed:

  • NI VeriStand 2011 or later
  • NI-Switch
  • The download provided with this Add-On

Hardware

Any NI-Switch product with relays.

  • LabVIEW 2011 or later
  • NI-Switch

Doesn't work. It gives the error that NI-Switch Inicialization doesn't exist

Sometimes when VeriStand is unable to find Initialization.vi, it's because you've added the same custom device into the C:\Users\Public Documents\VeriStand 20xx\Custom Devices folder twice.  Can you search through that folder (and all subfolders) and verify that you don't have Switch/Relay added twice?
