Greg,
Thank you for doing that. That test isolated the issue to be specific to NI-Switch on your computer and nothing to do with the custom device or NI VeriStand. This was a necesary step so that we can get in touch with our engineers that support NI-Switch.
Can you create a support request at http://www.ni.com/support and attach one of those VIs and the screen shot? They will be able to help.

I created a support request and posted it on the LabVIEW forum, along with an image of the 'scratch VI' error message and a copy of the init sim switch (scratch).vi file. Here's the link: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Issue-with-NI-Switch-Driver-Error-1074135030/td-p/1834483
Thanks again for all your help Stephen 🙂

Woohoo!!
Just read through. Quite a weird one. Sorry for all the hassle. Glad you're up and running!

Hi Stephen,
I don't see the PXI-2571/66-SPDT in the list of topologies available where I can see it if I open the source code and find the typedef. I certainly miss something.

Vince

Unfortunately the string drop down box is compiled into the custom device and it came from a particular version of NI-Switch. So new switches aren't in the drop down. However, you should be able to type the name in.

hey Andreas! Thanks for capturing feedback:

Hi,
I've been trying to use this custom device in Veristand 2013, having previously had it working with Veristand 2012 (though only as an experiment). I've downloaded, extracted and installed from "NI-Switch Relay_2013_1.0.0.zip". I get the option to create the custom device, but then get this dialog:
I've tried rebuilding the custom device from LabVIEW which went OK but the same problem still exists.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Graham.

Hello Graham,
I just tested out the 2013 build and it works fine for me. Can you verify your \Custom Devices\ directory isn't corrupted? Try removing everything except the 2013 switch relay device.
