Currently I have a test station that takes 8 hours to run. I am running a test stand sequence file TS2016.  The tests are displayed but do not get printed to a file until the the program finishes, This is not advantageous though as if the computer has a glitch anywhere in the test the results and not sent to a file  and the data is lost. I have tried on the fly reporting but believe that just shows the results on the screen after each test is done. Where should I be looking in the process model or any other setting so that the results get printed to a file during the run and not just at the end?

"On the Fly reporting" should do just that. When a test step has completed, the result are written to the report. Then the next step is executed. If your step is a sub-sequence, possible the sub-sequence needs to complete before "On The Fly" reporting occurs. I sound like your running multiple test steps over an 8 hour period, you should see a Results tab where the Test Report is generated.
