Did you mean:

integrate Vision Builder 2009 (VBAI), into Test Stand 4.2.1?

ProcessSetup and ProcessCleanup callbacks will only be called if you are using a process model that implements such callbacks (e.g. If you do Test UUTs or Single Pass with either our default models or something similar to them). If you do Run Mainsequence or have a custom process model that doesn't call these callbacks, ProcessSetup and ProcessCleanup will not be called.

Hope this helps,

-Doug

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

Your proposal does not apply to the latest versions of TestStand 4.2.1 and VBAI 2010.

The links you are referring to only work for TestStand up to version 3.6.

The combo-box does not allow to select a higher TestStand version.

This is a process I went through before I finally found out that there is a new VBAI version 2010

with a complete LabVIEW API which can also be directly

used from TestStand with VI calls.

Thanks

C.D.

Hi Doug and Brad,

Thanks a lot for your replies.

I am quite a newbie to TestStand and I have taken over some projects a couple of months ago

and developed already some new test sequences based on our original standard.

Our test sequences only contained the "MainSequence".

The problem of TestStand crashing with "Run Inspection Once" was caused by the fact that "MainSequence" was executed first

instead of "ProcessSetup". I had not even noticed before that other sequences in the sequence file "Vision Builder AI est Stand Example.seq" .

Selecting "ProcessSetup" and executing the sequence works fine now!!!!!!!!!!

The sequence runs through all the test steps as required.

Brad: The screenshot was very helpful! Thx

But now comes the HOWEVER!!!

However, when selecting for example the first TestStand step "Create Image" and the LabVIEW Adapter is being initialised,

TestStand crashes again! One can see the parameters of the VI before it crashes.

I have a guy here from NI tomorrow (sales engineer!).

I will show him the problem and I hope he can help.

Thanks again for your support

Kind regards,

Carsten
