get NIVeristand Project version

how can i read the version on an NIVeristand Project (.nivsproj) with python?

can somenone help me?

I doubt the Veristand experts are looking at this forum and they are the ones who are better equipped to answer it.

I looked through the help but couldn't find anything in the API that exposed this.  If .nivsproj files are ascii you might be able to parse it out.
