Hello,
I have created a custom TS UI, based on the delivered simple TS UI. When I close the UI, the process stays in the process list of windows, I can end it from the windows task manager. This happens only if the LabVIEW adapter is set to Run-Tiime Engine. If I select LabVIEW Development System, the GUI will be closed fully.
TestStand 2014 32 bit
LabVIEW 2014 32 bit
Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit
any idea?

Dont know if it helps but the execution is diferent when you execute as runtime and as development in terms of processes and communications. E.g. you cant run a 64 bit labview pack with test stand. At leat 1 year ago.
Any way whout I would do is to test if theis behavior is the same in any other UI version of test stand, even the full developent version using the runtime adaptor.
That data might help to get help.

Hi Madottati,
the first thing that comes to my mind is to close the process programatically just like you do in LV, when you are building an executable. One example how to do this is shown here:
Working with the TestStand Simple User Interface - LabVIEW (TestStand 2013 and Previous) - National Instruments
http://www.ni.com/white-paper/14376/en/
you want to be looking at the section "shutting down".
Hope this helps!
