Why does uninstalling previous versions of TestStand causes registry errors?

When I upgrade to newer version of NI Developer Suite, I experience issues with registry class ID's, and the TestStand version selector can no longer make a determination which version of TestStand is active?

This issues forces a removal of ALL NI software, and a reinstallation, which is very time consuming??

If you uninstalled the active version of TestStand, you just need to run the version switcher once to select which version you want active after that (you should of course reboot first as instructed by whatever installer you ran).

Typically Doug, I would agree, however I have come across two seperate instances now where simply doing an uninstall has caused issues with some of the TestStand components being registered properly, which ultimately causes the version selector tool to not be able to determine which version has been installed.

The included pics show what I have come across twice now, and I simply don't know what I could have possibly done to cause the problem??
