Why I can't get activation code for my Deployment Licence V3.X for Test Stand V3.5

I have several Test Stand Deployment V3.X licences. I have installed Test Stand software version 3.5 on my PCs. If I try to obtain the activation code from the web site and set Test Stand v3.5 I get information that my product information are invalid. What is the problem?

I just experienced this issue with my Debug license.  The TestStand Debug license is version specific.  In my case, I had a version 3.0 license and was trying to use the Web page to activate TestStand 3.1.

In my case, I was a extra confused because the license and description for version 3.0 does not have "version 3.0" written anywhere on it.  So there was no hint that the license is version specific.  More recent licenses that I have say specifically "version 3.1" or "version 3.5", which is a slight improvement.

 

I think that NI will inform you that you need to purchase an license upgrade.  You can get your cost by using the online software upgrade advisor:
