Hello Community, I am using TestStand 2017 32-bit. In my UUT Report, what is the best way to customize the text for the UUT Result parameter from saying "Passed" or "Failed" to something else when the test finishes? Thank you

Terminate and Abort mean completely different things in TestStand. Terminate means that cleanup ran. Abort means the execution ended abruptly and not a single other thing in the TestStand engine executed. That's why you will NEVER see Aborted on a TestStand report. So if you are using a later version of TestStand there is a model callback called PostMainSequence. You can put an expression in there with RunState.Caller.Locals.ResultList[0].Status = "Aborted". This will get the report to say Aborted at the top.

I'm also trying to accomplish the same thing, and I think it would be beneficial for testers to be able to add custom UUT result status text within the generated report. I'm not thinking in the realm of pass/fail, but more so of the idea adding 'Developmental' or 'Non-critical Failure' to the report header. I have yet to establish some of my objective pass/fail criteria for testing yet, so this result status indication would help out immensely. I've been trying to utilize sequence callbacks as well as modifying the TR6 report stylesheet, but I haven't had any luck actually implementing any of the available solutions from NI or its community. Hopefully, we can figure this out together.
