So i have a problem when using the swithing feature built on the step.
the first time i execute my sequence everything switches normallly...
the second time i try to run the sequence it freezes teststand.
i have notice than when i run my sequence. i can see on NI TRACE the following:
niSE_opensession
niSE_connect(routex)
nise_disconnect.
but after the sequence is over. the niSE sesion is not close. does that have something to do with TestStand Freezing?
If not have you run into this issues before?

What version of NISE and TS are you using?
Can you provide a simple example sequence which creates the issue on your machine?
What do you mean by "freeze"? How long did you wait until terminating? Does terminate work at all? How do you stop execution otherwise?

What do you mean by "freeze"?
TestStand will just crash
How long did you wait until terminating?
after the sequence finish and i try to start a new single pass sequence it "freezes"
Does terminate work at all? How do you stop execution otherwise?
windows dialog program not responding will appear.
i am using TS 2013 and switch exectuvie 3.6

Hm, i cannot see a source of the issue in the provided sequence file.
What if you first disconnect the route "UUT1_No_load & Power" before calling Disconnect All?
As you configured the connection to "manual", this is definetly the safe way to do it......
On the other hand, it could be an issue with the NISE configuration including the IVI settings. Are you sure that this approach works e.g. in LV?
I somehow doubt that the issue is connected to TS.....

apparently this a known issue with pickering drivers and their switching matrixes.
the NI switch executive close sesion.VI will hang and never close. thats whay it is forcing a close. it might hang on an infinite loop.
a solution coud be downgrade to visa 5.1 drivers.
this is one of the other reasons to buy NI products 🙂

i contacted pickering.... they got me new drivers
Pickering response :
This sounds like the problem that first came up when NI Visa was changed, version 5.2 or greater I believe. At any rate, I would first try installing the latest version of the Pickering IVI driver.

i installed them and it works now.....
