Hi, everyone.
Today I have installed the Teststand 2010 SP1 eval version on Windows XP but an error pops up when I run the sequence editor, as per shown in the attached screenshot.
Hopefully, someone can help and advise me on this.
Thanks.

Make sure you have Service Pack 3 installed for Windows XP.

Hi,
When you run the TestStand Version Selector, do you get any errors?

Yes, there is an error.
Please refer to the attached picture.
When I tried to make active of Teststand 2010 SP1, there is also an error.

Hi,
I've never seen those errors - maybe somebody else has and can give better advice.
I'd try doing a repair operation from 'Add or Remove Programs'. If that doesn't work then doing an un-install and re-install should fix it.
It does look like the installer couldn't access the registry the first time. I'd disable virus scan and Microsoft updates before trying a second time and check that the installer is run in an 'Administrator' account.
Thanks,
Jim

Make sure you reboot when it prompts you after the install. I've seen weird stuff like this happen if I try to open TS and I've neglected to reboot the PC after installing.

Hi uoi,
I have created a Knowledge Base article which addresses the issue described in this thread. Hopefully, you have long since found a solution for your issue but I wanted to leave this here for anyone that may run into it in the future.
