TS sequence editor and deployment licence

Hi,

Is there any chance to use sequence editor with Deployment not Development licence?

NI here says:  "Debugging steps and sequences involve making minor changes to these components to fix issues in the application. Making changes to steps and sequences that add or improve functionality is considered development and requires a development license."

The TestStand Debug Deployment Environment is what you are looking for.

Yes but how to switch it on?

Will it be enough just to login to the TSOI as the operator?

Once you have activated the TestStand Debug Deployment License, you can open SeqEdit - which you must have installed Smiley Wink

I use VLM.

On VLM there are two types of licences: Development and Engine deployment.

I'd like the sequence editor to use Engine deployment licence. Can I do this?

I guess that you Engine Deplotment is the Base Deployment.  (Maybe someone knows better?)  If it is, the license will not allow the usage of SeqEdit, see here.

Hi MimiKLM,

I'd recommend giving NI a call ( www.ni.com/contact ) and talking through what license you have available at your place of work with our licensing and sales team.

Good proposal. Just wondering why it didn't come to my mind?
