Sharing Hardware Resources Across Multiple DUTs in NI TestStand

Hello,

Does NI TestStand allow sharing of hardware resources required for testing (e.g., a DAQ for voltage measurements) between multiple DUTs?

I am planning a production fixture to test three DUTs (PCBs) using only one DAQ. Is it possible to schedule the tests so that while DUT 1 is using the DAQ, DUTs 2 and 3 run tests that do not require this resource (i.e., parallel testing)? Once DUT 1 releases the DAQ, can the other DUTs then access it in turn?

There are several posibilities to achieve this in TestStand.

If you are using the BatchModel, you can make use of a pretty sophisticated synchronization

You can also use Auto-scheduling

For all of them, there are examples available on your installation.
