I get to see "SeqEdi 5.1.0.240 encountered a problem and need to close" error message for a Step quite often.
Below is the screenshot of the error message I keep getting.
Any help how I can fix this?

You should open up a ticket with NI Support if you have a problem like this.
A few general troubleshooting steps i'll mention:
Another thing worth noting is that features were added to TestStand 2017 to help troubleshoot issues like this.
