In TestStand 2017 is it possible reset a SQL DB connection in the event of a database fail over scenario. The link I have found so far is below, it has a “back door” way of resetting the DB connection, I have done a small trial and it does seem to work, however I am just not that confidence in using such technique to kill off the existing DB connection, and what side effects it may have within TestStand.
Has anyone used this method successfully? Are there any other methods to reset the current SQL database link?
Do newer versions of TestStand address this scenario?
