How can I open a seq 3.1 if I have version 3.0

I'm trying to run a seq developed in teststand 3.1, in my system I have version 3.0, is there any way to run a 3.1 seq in teststand 3.0

Hi,

Problem is that new step types where introduced for TestStand 3.1 - Flow Control Step.

If this sequence file uses them then you will now beable to run it.

You can force it to open, by opening the sequence file in notepad and change the version string to that for version 3.0. That is ProductVersion and ProductVersionString found at the top of the file. Look at an existing file for the correct value.

Changing the file in notepad might have unintended side effects.

If possible, I'd recommend having someone with 3.1 load the file, select SaveAs, and select TestStand 3.0 Sequence File from the Files of Type drop down control.

James is correct, so always make a backup of your squencefile before you start, if you do modify a sequence file in a text editor..
