Generate Custom Error

I am writing a series of TestStand sequences for testing several different UUTs using the same PXI chassis. There is a custom cable that connects the UUT to the chassis. Each UUT has a unique cable which is keyed. When my sequence executes it queries the cable, and ensures that the cable is correct for the sequence that is being executed. If the correct cable is not installed, I would like TestStand to generate a custom error, but I'm not sure how to go about it.

How do I generate custom errors in TestStand?
