NI Package Manager/NI MAX on Windows 7 32 bit

I have a client with a computer running Windows 7 32 bit, and am trying to figure out how to get NI MAX installed to do some hardware troubleshooting. We cannot upgrade the user's PC, as Windows 7 is required to run certain other software.

I have gone to the NI Package Manager page and tried many different versions, however, none of them seem to be compatible with Windows 7 32-bit. I always get an error that the installation package is intended for a 64-bit distribution, not 32-bit.

What do I need to install NI Package Manager, so that I can get NI MAX, on this system?

Thanks!

NI Package Manager 20.6 was the last version to support Windows 7 and 32-bit OS, so you should be able to install that version of NIPM and any software that we release with or before that release. NI dropped support for Windows 7 (32- and 64-bit), Windows Server 2008 R2, and all 32-bit Windows operating systems starting in 2021. Versions of any product that ship after May 1, 2021, will not install or run on these operating systems.

That's what I read as well, but the versions on the website that I'm downloading say that they aren't compatible with 32 bit and so won't install on the given system. I tried 20.6, I even tried going back to 19.0, but nothing will actually install on the 32 bit system.

I do not remember of there being a reason why a 20.6 or earlier offline NIPM installer should complain on a 32-bit OS. Just confirming that when you are downloading a specific version of NIPM, you are choosing the option to "Install Offline", selecting the target version in the list, and then select the Download button?

Do you currently have a version of NIPM already installed, or did you previously before you took some action to remove it? If you issue the command-prompt "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI Package Manager\nipkg.exe" show-version to determine this.

You could also issue the command "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI Package Manager\nipkg.exe" list-installed ni-* to list the NI packages installed, and I would like to look to see if there are any packages with versions > 20.6. Maybe share that list here.
