Hi,
Sorry for posting simple discussion.
This is my first post to NI Community.
We have myRIO and cRIO-9068 which has Linux RT OS.
I am studying what is these merit.
I have read
"Introduction to NI Linux Real-Time"
http://www.ni.com/white-paper/14627/en/
It discuss the Linux RT merit in section 2.
I understand it.
But once we try to study with devices,
I do not know the best application to demonstrate these function.
Do you know nice application to demonstrate
and show the merit to our customer, colleague etc...
I can use myRIO and some sensors and I know well about Linux.
If there is a lack of my explaination, please let me know!
Thank you for your advise!

Hey Tepig,
There are quite a few applications that specifically benefit from a Real-Time OS. Don't get caught up on the fact that it is a linux operating systme under the hood. If you search for real-time os applications you should find plenty of examples.
Typically control applications that need tight timing or are responsible for safety controls. You do not a windows PC monitoring a emergency stop button because the system could require updates or take upwards of milliseconds to seconds to respond to any input. Real Time OS can be used for control applications that require events to be handled to the microsecond, repeatidly.
