Connect a Joystick Extreme 3D Pro to a cRIO-9035

Hi,

I want to connect the Joystick Extreme 3D Pro to his cRIO-9035 but I can't. I was able to connect it to a myRIO 1900 but I can't connect it to a cRIO-9035.

There is a list with the supported joystick on myRIO and the Joystick Extreme 3D Pro is one of them:

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/93E7078C79622B0986257CBD0057C0A9?OpenDocument

I tested the code of the following link (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/CA411647F224787B86256DD000669EFE) with a myRIO and it was working perfectly.

However, the same code cannot be executed on the cRIO-9035.

Then, I followed the instructions of this link (http://ae.natinst.com/public.nsf/webPreview/94A534CA79FF8A7E86257C670068ED2B?OpenDocument).

In this link, it is suggested to use the command lsmod before and after plugging the joystick into the myRIO, in order to see the differences between the loaded modules. On the myRIO, usbhid is loaded. On the cRIO-9035, no module is loaded.

Since the myRIO and the cRIO-9035 are based on Linux, so is there a mean to make the joystick dectetable by the cRIO-9035?

Hi TonyTranNI,

What version of NI Linux RT (as reported by MAX) are you using on the 9035 (and, for that matter, the myRIO 1900)? Can you plug in the Joystick Extreme 3D and post the result of the following command: "dmesg | tail -n 40" ?
