My National Instruments software updated and now my computer is not recognizing my NI ELVIS II. My computer can see the device but the NI device monitor says there are no devices connected. When I open the instrument launcher and open any one of the apps like the digital multi meter it says there are no connected devices. I tried calling technical support but since I am a student they told me to go through the online forums.
Solution: Used NI max (Measurements and Automation Explorer) click on tools, Click on reset configuration data. Reboot the computer and it came up after I turned the ELVIS back on.
