In 2010, you may remember reading the Sweet Apps post, Got Milk? Using Solar Energy to Help Chill Out, on the solar-powered refrigeration system that Promethean Power Systems built.

In the post, we mentioned that it won a GE Ecomagination award. It was also a finalist in the recent Graphical System Design Achievement Awards (GSDAA) held in August. Apparently, recognition just keeps coming -- recently, we found out that it has been selected as one of ten LAUNCH Energy Innovators. This was part of the LAUNCH Energy Challenge - a competition founded by NASA, USAID, US Department of State and NIKE.

If you have the chance, you should say "hi" to Promethan Power Systems at the LAUNCH: Energy Forum held in the NASA Kennedy Space Center from Nov 11-13.

Congratulations, Promethean Power Systems! It's great to see such a sweet app be recognized nationally. As Sorin and Sam of Promethan Power Systems put it, "For a few milk guys like us, this is probably as close as we can get to the moon."

If you know of any other sweet app that deserves kudos, comment and let us know!
