Reimage the PXI Controller

Hi all,

Can you try to reimage the PXI controller and see if that works, before I send down another one.  Look at these instructions:

Thank you!

David

Here is the link to the 8105 Manual. On page 2-16 the specific instructions for Hard Drive Recovery are listed.

Its really easy. You have to hold down F4 on the initial boot and then a utility launches that will begin the recovery process.

Re: Reimage the PXI Controller

How did it go with the re-imaging process? Did that work?

Thank you!

David

Re: Reimage the PXI Controller

Hi David,

Sorry for the delaybut we didn't get a chance to do it this weekend.  We will definately get to it tomorrow afternoon so we'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks

Any news on the controller?  You got us on pins and needles.

Re: Reimage the PXI Controller

I talked to tech support about re-imaging the PXI to see if there was any way to access the hard drive recovery and they told me that if I can't access the bios and the controll module is un-responsive upon power up then it is definately a hard ware issue.

I then tested the Voltages on the back pins of the chassis to confirm that it was operating correctly so it's likely a controll module hardware issue (this was the consesnus of tech support).

So if you have a controll module that can drop into that chassis that might be a good solution.  We also had some questions on simulating instruments like the FlexRIOs and adapter modules and wanted to know if you had any free time for a call tomorrow morning.

Re: Reimage the PXI Controller

The controller is in the mail. I am shipping it via FedEx and here is the tracking number:

794761139794

I have Windows 7 and all of the software installed on the controller.  It is ready to go...and you all are setup for success with this.
