Go to nationals website and see if they have the spice model there. If not, search google.

If you do find the model, then you'll have to create a custom component using the componet wizard, and then plug in the model data to finish the task.

Good luck

Unfortunatly I have researched this IC and can't find a spice model for it. This happens sometimes. The only suggestion I can make is to take the PDF and try and create your own model for it. This can be a laborious task, but sometimes it is the only option. If you need help on creating a componet then there are some really good reference material in the NI Developers Zone.

You must not understand how simulation works, a spice model is a set of defined rules of subcircuits that tell the computer how to interpret the data present on the pins of the device.

Since your referring to a sample and hold chip that means there has to be some analog to digital convert and logic control to do the job the chip is designed to do. The PDF is datasheet information for the user to hook up the part. A spice model would look like the following:

* EWB Version 4 - 5 Terminal Opamp Model
* nodes: 3=+ 2=- 1=out 5=V+ 4=V-
* VCC= 15 VEE= -15 CC= 3e-011 A= 200000 RI= 2e+006

That is what your looking for.

So the short answer is that there is no way to simulate the chip your looking for......sorry ......and good luck

Chris explains the difference between a PDF and a Model file extremely well. Usually there is an internal diagram within the PDF File. Sometimes you can use this internal diagram to create a schematic within Multisim. From this schematic that you create you can make your own model file from it. This is the hard way of making a model file and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It all depends as to whether you can create the schematic form the diagram and sometimes that isn't possible due to lack of information within that diagram.

The best thing is to have a already made model to plug into Multisim, but again that isn't always possible either because there are components that just don't have models available for them.

I am sorry to say that your IC is one of those that I cannot find a spice model file for. Your only options would be to create one for yourself or hope that maybe someone already has done this and will share it with you.

I wish I could assit further, but this is about all I can tell you.

it seems im stuck with it!!! tnx for your sugestions. i apprec8 it a lot.

according to your comment the ff are generated

option 1  creating the model( which is very very very hard)
option 2 wait for a big hearted person to share me his own model(which is ones in a blue moon)
option 3 buy the ic and simulate in real world(which is very expensive because the probability to destroy the ic is high)

the bottom line is you all helped me!!!
so again " maraming salamat po" ( means "thank you all" in pilipino  language)
