updating layout from multisim

I created a non-standard board in Ultiboard (with cutouts) and placed and locked certain parts and connectors. Then there was a change in design, and I changed  the schematic in Multisim. How do I update the layout in Ultiboard (I assume from the new netlist generated by Multisim) without destroying the custom board and it's placed parts?

Hi there,

Have you tried the forward annotate feature? If not, try this:

1. Open your layout in Ultiboard
2. Open your corresponding schematic in Multisim
3. Click on the menu item Transfer>>Forward Annotate to Ultiboard 10
4. Ultiboard will ask for confirmation before overwritting the footprint changes

Remember, its always a good idea to back up your work before making significant changes.
