non ideal battery

Hello.

When I insert a non-ideal-battery, I get zero volts despite the 12 volts setting.  I would appreciate advice on how to make it work as intended, meaning measuring 12 volts. Thank you.

Hello,

your battery is not a simple voltage source with a series resistance. It is defined as a subcircuit that contains several components. If you look into the generated netlist it states:

*********************************************************************************
*NOTE: Due to initial charge on Cchrg (Capacitor), Default Instrument
* Settings must be set to User Defined in order for this part to
* simulate correctly.
*********************************************************************************

You can go to the Interactive simulation settings and set the Initial Conditions to "User Defined". Then the voltmeter will show 12V as expected.
