This looks like a problem that has been documented by Microsoft here. Did you try to download and install it manually or using Update Service? Cal you tell us the language and operating system that you are using?
If you tried using update service and got this message, you can try downloading and install the update manually instead. The link for the download is here if you are a professional user or from here if you are an educational user.

I'm using the update service on WinXP SP3, English.
The manual download worked fine, but I've never had much luck with the update service. This error message was a first, though.
