coupled inductors transformers polarity

Hello.

I am attempting to create a transformer using three coupled inductors with mutual inductance in pairs with all three. I need to set the polarity of the inductors you know that the dot the the informs us whether the mutual inductance is positive or negative. We can do this in other simulators how is this done in multisim, that is determining the polarity of an inductor in a transformer?

Привет! Открываете "Свойства", выбираете номера выводов, тем самым определяя полярность.

Hi Njmc020,

You can determine the relative polarities of the inductors using the pin numbers.

If there is no or inadequate documentation about this, you can have it determined empirically. Put the coupled inductors, AC source, and probes/oscilloscopes in an "scratch" circuit. Simulation would reveal the desired information.

Best regards,

G. Goodwin
