Ultiboard: how do you build a slot

How do you build a slot in Ultiboard?

That is, I have a component with 0.5mm x 1.5mm leads and I need to drill a rectangular hole.

Can I do this with Ultiboard 2001?

select the board layer, place shape > rectangle.  Set to  your dimensions and  you should be good to go

But that won't have any effect on the drill file, will it?

I need a rectangular hole, not just a rectangular pad...

when you say slot, you mean an indent into the board, but not all the way through?  I thought that was referrenced as a score, not a slot.  I've always understood slots are equal to through holes with different shapes.  Scoring is creating a mark into the fiberglass X distance into the fiberglass but not all the way through.........assuming my facts are straight, to which are you referring?

I mean a long hole.  Taking a router bit and moving it sideways one millimeter.

I need a long plated through-hole to solder in a metal tab.  (To mount a TV tuner component, specifically)

I just re-read your reply (Thank you for responding!)

Are you talking about drawing in the "Board Outline" layer?

Can I use this to create a plated through hole?
