All of a sudden, my Ultiboard comes up with an error that says that the bottom layer cannot be routed.
I know that I can select all nets and change "10" to "11", but why do I now have to do this? What has changed? It never used to do this....
???

Hi,
I am not sure what may have caused this, but you can do the following to fix it:

But every time you update and load netlist this setting is overwritten!
As if Multisim has a default setting regarding allowed layer.
I don't remember anything like this in 10.0. May be is a bug added in 10.1.

Maybe you set the Routing Layers setting in Multisim. Its in the Nets tab in the Spreadsheet View. There is a column in the table called Routing Layers which gets exported Ultiboard everytime you transfer your design. You can set the routing layer to Top, Bottom or no preference.

I checked the column "Routing Layers". It seems this settings simply don't affect at all Ultiboard.
In a simple circuit with 12 nets I get errors in 3 of them: 0, 4 and VDD.
I tried setting one net (net 0) to bottom only, or leaving all nets blank but nothing change.
And I don't see anything in common in the three nets involved.
If you like to check I can send you the circuit.
I'm using Multisim and Ultiboard Education Edition 10.1.357 .

Ok, I misunderstood your problem previously. This problem has been noted and we will work to resolve it in a future release.
For now, the best thing I can suggest is to correctly set the routing layers properties in Multisim prior to exporting to Ultiboard. Unfortunately, once your design is in Ultiboard, you will have to change the routing layers setting manually.
