UB erratic trace laying...need a fix

Looking at this image below, the switches are clearly all supposed to be connected straight across and instead of just drawing straight lines, it drawing these erratic pushout lines for no reason.

while it is electrically connected, its actually causing issue with trace routing because that area is need for trace squeeze throughs and just plain taking up valuable board space for no reason making my job so much more difficult

The second image shows how it is creating these erratic trace angles. The optimization routine is not properly cleaning up traces as it should. This also creates cosmetically ugly traces and also increases the overall trace impedance and definetely no good if it were to be an RF trace.

Any chance of this being addressed?

Hey Chris, sorry for taking so long to get an answer to your post (I was out teaching)... R&D is working to improve the routing algorithm to avoid those exact issues you are seeing. So, hopefully we will soon have an improved routing engine that will deal with the cosmetic issues...

As of now, for the second image... if you have a large, complex design and you can't do a visual check for these turns, try Corner Mitering... Design (or Tools?) >> Corner Mitering, this will make a softer turn.
