Question about components in the Component Reference Guide

I was looking through the documentation for Multisim 10 and I found something that I have to ask about. In the Component Reference Guide under Basic Components it lists in section 2.23 components cal Z Loads. Under Electro Mechanical section 15.9 it lists Pilot Lights and Section 15.10 lists Terminals.

I have Multisim Version 10 Power Pro and I don't see these in the Master Database. Are these particular components only in certain versions?

Also, while I am here, in my Master Database there is an empty family called Ladder Diagrams. Could you explain that to me?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Hi Lacy,

The Z load and the ladder logic are in the Educational version only, there are some features that are meant for teaching purpose only.  You would not be able to use the ladder logic to program an Allen Bradley PLC or anything like that.

I cannot find the pilot lights or terminals in the database and I don't recall seeing them before.  I will let our writer know about it.

Thanks Tien, I had a feeling they were meant for a different version but I just wanted to make sure. I appreciate your time and response. As far as the Ladder Logic, it would be nice to have that in the Power Pro edition as that relates to industrial applications even if you may not be able to simulate with it.
