Multisim student edition wont activate with codes that were emailed to me

I  recently downloaded multisim edition14.2 but after installing, I was emailed codes for 14.1 both a serial number and activation code. I tried to input both codes so I can activate the software for use but neither of the codes seem to work. For the serial code, I am getting a red exclamation mark and for the activation code, i am being told activation error. How do I fix this as I am required to use this software for completing my coursework?
