Multisim Live - Grapher

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I'm trying to demonstrate gain using an amplifier and the Grapher in Multisim Live.

My input signal is 10mV peak - my output is about 5V peak.

I can only seem to set one Voltage scale in the grapher window, though - either my 5V signal goes way outside the screen, or my input signal appears as a flat line.

Is there a way to set an appropriate Voltage scale for each probe being graphed?

Thanks for your help.

Hello wt_higo,

Yes, unfortunately Multisim Live doesn't have that function yet.

I believe in near future it will be fixed.

Hi,

given the limitations of Multisim Online, what you could do to help you out is to plot an expression rather than the node voltage. This allows you introduce a gain or attenuation of the node voltage that is exact, you know is there and you can account for in the explanations. This will give you a second axis on the right and the possibility to adjust the waveforms indpendently much how you would do with the channels of a physical oscilloscope.

Hi,

this sounds really useful, but am I right in thinking I need the "full" version of Multisim Live to access it?

...I don't see the expression plotter in the Analysis and Annotation menu.

Thanks.

You could be right, I only have a premium account for testing.

That's a shame...unless my department can get a premium subscription by collecting crisp-packets, I think I'm stuck with the standard version...

Thanks anyway.
