Hi, though this has been partially addressed, my situation is a little different.
I have inherited a PCB design that works for a package that is already designed (the external connectors are placed appropriate for the enclosure)
The DXF only has holes in it, not information about parts, etc.
What I'd like to do, without having to create a dummy part for each of my components, is simply to add a copper annulus around some of my holes manually.
So, I've created a 1-pin part with an annular hole, but I cannot get that part to align with the target existing holes that are on my part.
Is there any way to just change the attributes of a hole so that it has a copper annulus?
I _do_ know explicitly the X,Y coordinates of all holes that need to be plated. Should I just drop VIAs? Will that make my design more expensive?
What I really want to do is just snap my 1-pin part (with no PN annotation) onto existing drill holes.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Wes
